Advanced Packaging Systems represents a portfolio of the world’s leading processing and packaging equipment manufacturers across New Zealand. We are not only a supplier of new equipment; we are the local point of contact for the parts, servicing, and support that keep that equipment performing throughout its working life. We also offer parts, service and support to non-partner brands.

Why Parts, Service and Support Matters

For a food, dairy, pharmaceutical, or beverage manufacturer, unplanned downtime is expensive and disruptive. A worn mesh screen, a failed seal, a conveyor belt at the end of its service life, or a mixer running below specification can halt a line and put product quality at risk. Planned maintenance and ready access to the right parts turn those events from emergencies into routine, scheduled tasks.

There is also a compliance dimension. In hygienic and hazardous-area applications, fitting genuine, original-specification parts is what preserves a machine’s certification and the integrity of its design — substituting unapproved components can introduce safety and contamination risks and, in ATEX-classified areas, invalidate certification. Maintaining equipment properly protects both the asset and the standards the operation is held to.

What APS Service and Support Covers

Across our partner brands, the support APS coordinates locally falls into a consistent set of services. The specifics vary by manufacturer and equipment type, but the principle is the same: keep your equipment running and your line productive.

  • Genuine spare parts — original-specification components sourced directly through the manufacturer, identified correctly for your machine and configuration.
  • Wear parts and consumables — items that are replaced as part of normal operation, such as mesh screens and frames, conveyor belting, seals, gaskets, and filter elements.
  • Servicing and preventive maintenance — scheduled inspection and maintenance to minimise downtime and catch developing issues before they cause a failure, including machine health checks during manufacturer engineer visits.
  • Refurbishment and upgrades — restoring ageing equipment to like-new performance, often a more economical route than full replacement, and retrofitting improvements where available.
  • Commissioning, installation, and operator guidance — support to get equipment installed, validated, and running correctly, and to keep operators confident in its use.
  • A single local point of contact — one team in New Zealand to call, who coordinates with the relevant manufacturer’s aftermarket on your behalf.

Support Beyond Our Partner Brands

Our support is not limited to the brands we represent. Many New Zealand operations run mixed fleets of equipment built up over years from a range of manufacturers, and a single line will often combine machines of different makes and ages. Where we can help with equipment outside our partner portfolio — whether that is sourcing a part, advising on a maintenance issue, or arranging servicing — we are glad to be a first point of contact. If a particular item falls outside what we can support directly, we will tell you plainly and, where possible, point you in the right direction.

There is also a practical advantage in the breadth of the portfolio we represent: the parts and consumables behind it are not always specific to a single machine. Components such as mesh screens, seals, wear parts, filter elements and belting are frequently common to similar types of equipment, which means a part supplied through one of our partner brands can often be specified for a comparable machine from another source. Rather than replacing a serviceable machine, it is frequently possible to keep it running with a well-matched, original-specification part. Tell us the equipment type and the component you need, and we can advise whether a suitable part is available through our partners.

Local Support, Global Expertise

The advantage of working with APS is straightforward. You have a local team that understands your equipment, your industry, and the conditions you operate in, while still drawing on the full resources of each manufacturer’s international aftermarket. Rather than navigating overseas ordering, time-zone differences, and unfamiliar support channels, you make one call. We identify the right parts, arrange servicing or refurbishment, organise manufacturer engineer visits and health checks where appropriate, and keep your equipment running as it was designed to.

Whether you operate a single Silverson mixer, a Moba grading line, a Russell Finex sieving installation, or a full processing and packaging line drawing on several of our partner brands, the support pathway is the same — and it starts by contacting Advanced Packaging Systems.
