The New Zealand Egg Industry Conference | 16th to 18th October, 2024
Held every two years, this conference is an opportunity to join industry leaders, farmer members, and suppliers to hear, share, and discuss the most important topics and issues facing the New Zealand egg industry. Conference details.
Advanced Packaging Systems (APS) and partners Moba will be in attendance to answer your questions and showcase a range of solutions.
Catch up with APS and Moba and learn more about the Moba Egg Inspector 40 and Vision Shell Inspector. And if you’re interested in stamping and printing solutions the APS team can talk you through the Nuovo hand stamping and automatic printing options when installed on a Moba Grader.
Moba Egg Inspector 40
Need to detect leaking and dirty eggs, feathers, and black spots?
Moba has introduced its fourth generation of the Egg Inspector with advanced Artificial Intelligence software and the EggQualizer tool. This new feature allows you to adjust your Moba Egg Inspector 40 to match your quality criteria. How? By allowing you to set your standard per defect. So you can “tell” your Egg Inspector if, for example, a feather is acceptable or how big a black dirt spot must be for the egg to be rejected. Discover more equipment details here, Moba Egg Inspector .
Moba Vision Shell Inspector
By combining the possibilities of the latest visual systems technology with artificial intelligence, Moba has set a new standard in crack detection. This new method works on all eggs, regardless of their colour. As there is no contact with the eggshell, this results in a reduction in cross-contamination.
Field Tested
We performed an extensive field test at Herbruck’s in Michigan, USA. It all started with collecting multiple egg images and training the AI algorithms during grading. And it paid off! The detector performed beyond expectations on both white and brown eggs of various housing systems.
“We were amazed by the accurate results! It was amazing that a computer can be trained to detect things the human eye can’t see. After Moba trained the artificial intelligence system for several weeks, I trusted the results of the field test unit completely.” – Mr. Herb Herbruck (Herbruck’s, Michigan, USA)
